Amy is a passionate educator with a range of classroom teaching experiences that include K-12, undergraduate and graduate, and corporate training. She has worked with multiple learning management systems and draws on both her pedagogical and LMS knowledge bases to problem-solve and guide best practices. 

Amy earned a Ph.D. in Art History and Education, with an emphasis on Colonial Mexico and Early Modern Cartography, from the University of Arizona and an M.Ed. in Educational Technology from Northern Arizona University. She also holds an M.A. in Library and Information Sciences from the University of Arizona and an M.A. in Art History from the University of North Texas. Her research on the visual culture of Bourbon Mexico has appeared in publications such as Brill’s A Companion to Viceregal Mexico City, 1519-1821, and Hemisphere: Visual Cultures of the Americas. Prior to joining the D2L Consulting Team, Amy served as a university instructor, bilingual teacher, and instructional designer.
