Enable Date Restrictions to Content Modules

Note

Date restrictions do not hide modules and topics from students, but they do prevent students from accessing the topic links until the Start Date (or after the End Date). These links will be grayed out and cannot be selected outside your set dates.

Step 1

While in Content, under Table of Contents, select the Module to which you would like to add date restrictions.

Step 2

Select Add dates and restrictions.

Date Restrictions

Step 3a

Select Add Start Date and enter a date and time.

Note

The start date is the date that students can access the content. They will still see the module before this date (unless manually hidden), but any links inside will not work.

Step 3b

Select End Date and enter a date and time if you want to prohibit access to content after a given date.

Note

When the end date passes, students will still see the module, but the links inside will not work.

Step 3c

Use the Due Date if you want a date when the module should be completed to appear on the calendar.
