Assignment Builder - Reconnect Previous Assignment

Reconnect Previous Assignment is not an Assignment Builder Assignment type, but rather a way to disconnect an existing Assignment Builder Assignment from one link in D2L and move it to another. For example, if an Assignment was connected to the UA Tools > VoiceThread menu option, Reconnect Previous Assignment can be used to transfer that Assignment to a different link in Course Content.

Additionally, if you created Assignments using the VoiceThread Assignment Builder 1.1 integration, you can use the Reconnect Previous Assignment to move your assignments to new 1.3 integration links.

To use Reconnect Previous Assignment to reconfigure a 1.1 Assignment to a 1.3 Assignment, or to remove an Assignment from one link in D2L and move it to another, follow the subsequent steps.

Instructional Steps

Step 1

Navigate to the D2L course where you would like to place the new link to the Assignment.

Step 2

Select Existing Activities.

Step 3

Select VoiceThread.

Step 4

Select Assignment Builder.

Step 5

Select Reconnect Previous Assignment.

Step 6

This will open your Assignment Library, a repository of any Assignments that were built in the current course.

Note

You must perform this action from the D2L Course in which you originally created the Assignment Builder Assignment.

If you're in the course that was originally used to create the Assignment and the Assignment Library is empty, please contact intech@arizona.edu.

Select the Assignment you'd like to link and select Publish.

Step 7

If you were moving an Assignment from one link in D2L to another, it is now safe to delete the original link.

Note

If you were removing an Assignment that was inadvertently placed in the UA Tools > VoiceThread menu option, please visit the Replace UA Tools > VoiceThread Link in D2L Navbar help page for instructions on how to replace the UA Tools > VoiceThread option.
