Offboarding from Campus VoiceThread License

A decision has been made to let our campus enterprise license with VoiceThread expire after our current contract ends on August 24, 2025.

To allow instructors to continue accessing their past VoiceThread content, we will be offboarding, or removing, those users from our license prior to the expiration date.

We plan to offboard all instructor "pro" accounts on August 13, 2025, except for instructors using VoiceThread in a summer 7W2 course in which their account will be offboarded on August 23, 2025.

When your account has been offboarded, it will be downgraded to a Free account. To understand what the limitations are with a Free account versus your current Pro account, visit the what's included (opens in a new tab) VoiceThread article.

Important - Feature Downgrades

By being offboarded and our license expiring, the following features will no longer be available once you have a Free account.

  • Single sign on and integration with Brightspace (D2L) and/or SSO provider
  • Automatic account creation
  • Automatic roster syncing
  • Integrated assignment (Assignment Builder) and grading features
  • Centralized management
  • Reporting and analytics
  • Automatic closed captioning
  • University of Arizona campus technology support for VoiceThread
  • Customized SLA and uptime guarantee
  • Same-day support
  • Unlimited exports
  • Custom domain and homepage

Once offboarded, if you want to upgrade your Free account, visit the Personal VoiceThread Licensing Options section below for more information.
