Use University of Arizona Libraries Videos with PlayPosit
Instructors often ask if videos and movies from the University of Arizona Libraries are compatible with PlayPosit. Unfortunately, movies from these streaming services cannot be directly linked to a PlayPosit bulb. Videos must be either downloaded and accessed through the instructor's Panopto folder, or be available for free on YouTube or Vimeo.
Good to know:
- YouTube: only free videos are compatible with PlayPosit. Videos that can be bought or rented through YouTube are not compatible with PlayPosit.
- The University of Arizona Libraries' Streaming Services: The streaming services allow some videos to be requested and accessed through Panopto. However, these videos are loaded into the Libraries' Panopto folder, not the instructor's Panopto folder. This means the videos cannot be used in PlayPosit bulbs.
Any movie or video found on a streaming service offered by the University of Arizona Libraries must also be found on YouTube for free or be available for download. Then, the video must be uploaded to the instructor's Panopto folder in order to use it with PlayPosit.
