Hide and Drop PlayPosit Grades in the D2L Gradebook
Due to the way PlayPosit and D2L work together, a PlayPosit bulb linked in a course will always have an associated grade item in the D2L Gradebook. If you don't want to grade the Bulb and students have already started taking it in a live course, follow the steps below to hide the grade item from students and drop it from the final grade calculation.
If you don't want to grade a Bulb and students have NOT started taking it, please visit Add a PlayPosit Bulb to D2L to learn about options for ungraded Bulbs.
Step 1
Navigate to the D2L course site and select Grades from the course Navbar.
Step 2
Navigate to the grade item associated with the Bulb. Select the Actions Menu icon next to the grade item and select Edit.
Step 3
From within the Properties tab that opens after selecting Edit, navigate to the Grading section and check the box for Exclude from Final Grade Calculation.
Note
If you're using weighted grades, Exclude from Final Grade Calculation is not an available option. In this case, you must set the weight as 0 (zero). Learn more: Configure Gradebook Settings and Organize and Manage Gradebook: Edit Grade Items.
Step 4
To hide the grade item from students, select the Restrictions tab.
Step 5
Check the box for Hide from Students.
Step 6
Select Save and Close to confirm your changes.
