Examity: Syllabus Introduction
In this course, you will utilize Examity (opens in a new tab) to take exams remotely. To help you navigate Examity, you will be provided with a Student Guide. For a seamless experience make sure to complete your profile (if applicable) and verify the system requirements before your first exam. On exam day, you will be required to present a form of ID, CatCard or government issued IDs are accepted.
If you are a first time Examity user, upon entering the platform, you will be prompted to complete your profile, follow the steps in Creating Your Profile in Four Easy Steps (opens in a new tab).
System Requirement
- You must have a laptop or desktop with an operating system.
- macOS 10.5 or higher
- Windows Vista or higher
- ChromeOS
Note
Examity does not support Linux and tablets and phones are not compatible.
- Your device must have a working webcam, microphone and speakers.
- Built-in or external devices are compatible.
- You will need a stable Internet connection
- Minimum of 2Mbps upload and download required. 10Mbps is preferred.
- You must use Google Chrome as your browser.
- Disable your pop-up blocker.

Examity Standard Rules
Students must follow standard rules unless otherwise permitted by your instructor.
- Must be alone in the room.
- Clear your desk and work space.
- Device must stay connected to a power source.
- Webcam, speakers, and microphone must remain on throughout the test.
- The proctor must be able to see you for the duration of the test.
- Must NOT use a phone or other electronic devices.
- Must NOT use headphones.
- Must NOT use dual monitors.
- Must NOT leave your seat.
- Must NOT talk.
