Examity: D2L Quiz Set Up

When using D2L Quizzes to administer exams in Examity, it's essential that the exam settings meet specific criteria in D2L.

Exam Settings

Exam Settings Must Contain:

• Start Date and Time
• End Date and Time
• Password
• Set Timing Limit
• Make Exam Visible

Below you will find detailed steps for configuring your exams settings.

Step 1

Under Availability Dates & Conditions, select the drop-down menu. Enter Start Date and Time and End Date and Time.

Remember exams must be available for a minimum of 48 hours.

Step 2

Still under Availability Dates & Conditions, navigate to Password and enter any password you'd like.

This password should never be shared with students.

Step 3

Under Timing & Display, select the drop-down menu. Check the box to Set time limit and enter time in minute(s) text box.

The timing settings are flexible and determined by the instructor, as long as an approximate test duration is entered.

Step 4

Select the visibility toggle, to change exam from hidden to visible.

Additional Information:

• After creating an exam in D2L, please allow up to 24 hours for it to become visible on your Examity dashboard.
• Only make changes to exam availability, password, or time limit within the D2L platform, not in Examity.
• A D2L exam shell can be created even if the exam questions are not yet prepared. Questions can be added right up until the day of the exam.
