Upload a PDF to a Panopto Video
This help page explains how to upload a PDF to a Panopto video. Viewers will be able to access the PDF(s) in the video player as a secondary stream.
Note
- PDF uploads are currently limited to 100 MB.
- PDF(s) will appear in the embedded viewer at the beginning of the video. As such, Viewers will need to select Close in the upper right corner to proceed with watching the video.
- If the video is a single stream (i.e. audio/screen, audio/speaker, or audio-only) and a PDF file is added, once the PDF loads in the Viewer you will not be able to close or toggle it off and it will, instead, display for the full duration of the video.
Instructional Steps
Step 1
Within Panopto, navigate to the folder that your session is located in. Once you are in the folder, you will see all recorded sessions. Locate the session you would like to upload a PDF to, hover over the video thumbnail, and select the Settings icon.
Step 2
Once in Settings, select the Streams tab from the left navigation menu. At the bottom of the menu, select Choose File and select the PDF you would like to upload.
Step 3
Once the document has been selected, select the Upload PDF button.
Step 4
Using the viewer controls under the secondary stream, viewers can display the pdf in the Panopto Viewer. They can select the secondary streams menu button and then select the PDF icon.
