Download a Panopto Video
You can download a Panopto video as an .mp4 file from the Panopto interactive or embedded player.
Note
This option may not be available if a video's Creator has not enabled downloads. By default, only Creators can download videos using the below methods, however, Creators can enable the ability for viewers to download their videos if desired. Also, caption files will download with MP4, however not all video players support the captioning file. You may need to find a viewer that does, such as VLC.
Download via Interactive Player
From the interactive player, in the upper right-corner, select the download icon, which looks like an underlined, downwards pointing arrow. The video will automatically begin downloading to your device.
Download via Embedded Player
From the embedded player, in the lower right corner, select the download icon, which looks like an underlined, downwards pointing arrow. The video will automatically begin downloading to your device.
