About Brightspace Community Enrollment
Important
The instructions on this page are for Brightspace Community. For bulk enrollment files for Brightspace Campus, please see Bulk Enrollment in Brightspace Campus.
- Facilitators or program coordinators initiate the enrollment process.
- The enrollment process requires a CSV file.
- Only the Instructional Technology Team can enroll participants in Brightspace Community sites.
- Files must be sent to the Instructional Technology Team.
- Files are usually processed within 1 business day; email confirmation of processing will be sent.
- Facilitator or program coordinator communicates with participants how to login, access their course and navigate their program's requirements.
Note
All participants new to Brightspace Community are automatically enrolled in a general orientation course designed to familiarize them with Brightspace tools and navigation. This occurs at 3pm Arizona time daily and a confirmation email is sent at that time. You are responsible for communicating how to login to your participants.

Important
The Instructional Technology Team does not process incorrect or incomplete files. Incorrect files are returned for correction before processing.
Prepare and Submit an Enrollment File
Step 1
Prepare a CSV File containing your enrollee data. Your file must contain the following columns without headers:
- IMPORT
- Full email or NetID, if University of Arizona NetID holder (without @arizona.edu)
- First Name
- Last Name
- Leave blank
- Role (e.g., Participant or Facilitator)
- 1
- Full email (include @arizona.edu for NetID holders)
- Course Offering Code
Step 2
Ensure your file is complete and accurate.
Step 3
Submit your file to the InTech Team using Submit a CSV File. The InTech Team processes files in the order received and will confirm successful upload or request changes to your file.
Prepare and Submit an Unenrollment File
Step 1
Prepare a CSV File containing the data of the users to be unenrolled. Your file must contain the following columns without headers:
- UNENROLL
- Username (full email or NetID without @arizona.edu domain)
- Course Offering Code
Step 2
Ensure your file is complete and accurate.
Step 3
Submit your file to the InTech Team using Submit a CSV File. The InTech Team processes files in the order received and will confirm successful upload or request changes to your file.
Group or Section Enrollment in Campus Brightspace
Step 1
Submit a CSV file to the Intech Team, with the following columns (without headers):
- ENROLL
- Username (NetID without @arizona.edu domain)
- Student Extra Enroll (or other valid role)
- Unique Group or Section Name
Note
Group and Section names must be completely unique across all Brightspace sites at the University of Arizona. For example, Group 1 or Section 1 are commonly used in many other sites. When naming groups, ensure you select unique names. Please check with the InTech Team if you have questions.
Step 2
Ensure your file is complete and accurate.
Step 3
Submit your file to the InTech using Submit a CSV File. The InTech Team processes files in the order received and will confirm successful upload or request changes to your file.
