Viewing Reports in NCE
View Reports
Important
A course site must be active in order to view reports; see Activate or Deactivate a Course Site (opens in new tab) for more information.
Step 1
From Content, select the Gear icon.
Step 2
Select View Report, which opens in a new tab; by default, Statistics is selected.
Step 3
From this page, there are several navigation options available:
View Reports by Content (Statistics)
Note
The default view when View Reports is selected is Content Statistics.
Step 1
Above the table, the total number of users with a student-level role are displayed, along with the number of those users who have visited Content and the average time spent on all content modules. Select the Question icon to view how the number is calculated.
Step 2
Within the table, use the Arrow icon next to each module to collapse or expand the list.
Step 3
Select either Expand All or Collapse All to toggle collapse or expand on all modules at once.
Step 4
Within the table, the Available To column includes a numerical count representing the number of users with a student-level role that the module or submodule is available to; select hyperlinked number to view a detailed report, including:
- All users with a student-level role and whether each user has access to the module or submodule, the date of last visit, the number of visits, the total time spent and the average time spent.
- An overview above the table indicates totals for the module or submodule.
- Use the checkbox(es) to select specific users, then the Email icon to send an email to those users.
- Use the search bar to find a specific user in the table; select the Magnifying Glass icon to search.
- Use the dropdown in the lower-right of the table to display the stated number of users per page.
- When done, select Go Back.
Step 5
Within the table, the Users Visited column includes a numerical count representing the number of users with a student-level role that the module or submodule is available to; select hyperlinked number to view a detailed report, including:
- All users with a student-level role and whether each user has access to the module or submodule, the date of last visit, the number of visits, the total time spent and the average time spent.
- An overview above the table indicates totals for the module or submodule.
- Use the checkbox(es) to select specific users, then the Email icon to send an email to those users.
- Use the search bar to find a specific user in the table; select the Magnifying Glass icon to search.
- Use the dropdown in the lower-right of the table to display the stated number of users per page.
- When done, select Go Back.
View Reports by User (Statistics)
Step 1
From the default View Reports screen, select Users.
Step 2
The table that displays includes users with a student-level role. Sort the table by selecting the Learner header and choosing one of the options (ascending or descending by first or last name).
Step 3
Use the search bar to find a specific user in the table; select the Magnifying Glass icon to search.
Step 4
Filter the list by selecting either Sections or Groups and using the checkboxes to select the desired section(s) or group(s); select Apply to set the filter; select Clear to remove a filter. Use the search bar within the filter to search by name, select the Magnifying Glass icon to search.
Step 5
Select a user's name for data on that specific student, including:
- An overview of the number of topics available and visited.
- A table displaying each module and submodule and all topics, including whether the item is available to the user, the number of visits, average time spent and date of last visit.
- When done, select Go Back.
View Reports by Feedback
Step 1
The table displays all content modules and submodules; it includes the ratings and average rating of each.
Step 2
Within the table, use the Arrow icon next to each module to collapse or expand the list.
Step 3
Select either Expand All or Collapse All to toggle collapse or expand on all modules at once.
Export (Statistics)
Step 1
From View Reports by Content, select Export Statistics.
Step 2
A pop-up window appears and the export starts automatically.
Step 3
When the file is ready, select the hyperlink for the file; it automatically downloads to your device.
Step 4
When done, select Close.
Reset (Statistics)
Step 1
From View Reports by Content, select Reset Statistics.
Step 2
Confirm reset by selecting Delete.
Important
Once reset, data cannot be restored.
Note
Resetting statistics does not reset user completion marking or tracking.
Export (Feedback)
Step 1
From the Reports interface, select Feedback; Course Feedback opens.
Step 2
Select Export Feedback.
Step 3
A pop-up window appears and the export starts automatically.
Step 4
When the file is ready, select the hyperlink for the file; it automatically downloads to your device.
Step 5
When done, select Close.
Reset (Feedback)
Step 1
From the Reports interface, select Feedback; Course Feedback opens.
Step 2
Select Reset Feedback.
Step 3
Confirm reset by selecting Delete.
Important
Once reset, data cannot be restored.

Content Reports (SCORM)
Step 1
From the Reports interface, select SCORM Reports. By default, the Content tab is displayed.
User Reports (SCORM)
Step 1
From the Reports interface, select SCORM Reports. By default, the Content tab is displayed; select Users.
Export (SCORM)
Step 1
From the Reports interface, select SCORM Reports.
Step 2
Select Export Reports.
Step 3
The report automatically downloads to your device's designated download domain.
View Progress
Used to view a student's progress in the course site.
Step 1
From Classlist, select the Action Menu icon of the desired student.
Step 2
Select View Progress.
Step 3
Select Content in the menu to the left.
Step 4
Use the Expand or Collapse arrows to open/close sections.
Step 5
Select a module's hyperlink to be taken to that module in Content.
Step 6
Use the Expand or Collapse arrows to open/close that topic's details.
