Comment on a VoiceThread

There are 4 options for making a comment on a VoiceThread. Each option can be accessed by selecting the plus sign (+) button to make a comment. Selecting the plus sign (+) button will open the VoiceThread Comment Fan to reveal the different commenting methods. Each icon corresponds with a different commenting method, outlined below.

Comment via Text

Step 1

Select the plus sign (+) icon to open the Comment Fan.

Step 2

Select the ABC icon from the Comment Fan.

Step 3

You will be prompted with a pop-up window. Type your comment in the textbox.

Step 4

Select Save to upload your comment.

Comment via Audio

Step 1

Select the microphone icon from the Comment Fan.

Step 2

Select Allow at the webcam and microphone permissions prompt in your browser if you see one.

Step 3

When you are done recording, select the Stop Recording button.

Step 4

After the uploading prompt, VoiceThread will play the comment back to you for review.  If you’re satisfied with the comment, select Save.

Comment via Video

Step 1

Select the video camera icon.

Step 2

Select Allow at the webcam and microphone permissions prompt in your browser if you see one.

Step 3

When you are done recording, select the Stop Recording button.

Step 4

After the uploading prompt, VoiceThread will play the comment back to you for review.  If you’re satisfied with the comment, select Save.

Comment via Upload

Step 1

Upload a comment from your computer by selecting the upload icon on the right.

Step 2

A file selection window will open, allowing you to browse for the video or audio file you wish to upload, and select it.

Step 3

Wait for the file to finish processing. The upload has finished when the spinning wheel over your profile image or initials in the Conversation Channel disappears.
