Unlink and Delete a Bulb from Brightspace
PlayPosit Bulbs need to be unlinked from PlayPosit before they are deleted from the Brightspace course site. This will break the External Learning Tool association and allow you to delete the grade item associated with the bulb. Important
We strongly recommend not unlinking or deleting a Bulb that students have already taken in a live course. This will cause issues with the students' grades.
Instructional Steps
Step 1
In a Brightspace course, navigate to the Content module where the Bulb is linked and select the link to the Bulb.
Step 2
Select Enter PlayPosit from the instructor view of the bulb that appears.
Step 3
Select the D2L icon (Unlink Bulb) next to the name of the Bulb to unlink the Bulb from Brightspace.
Step 4
Select the Unlink button in the pop up that appears. Optional: select Download Data to download a spreadsheet of any student responses associated with the bulb.
Step 5
Return to the Content module where the Bulb was linked and select the Actions Menu icon next to the Bulb link. Select Delete Topic from the menu options.
Step 6
From the window that appears, choose the option Permanently delete both the topic from Content and the associated file or activity from the course. This option removes the Bulb from the course, but the Bulb will still exist in your PlayPosit account.
Step 7
Select the Delete button to complete the action.
Step 8
