Join a Zoom Meeting

You can join a Zoom meeting via a meeting link that is sent to you, a Brightspace course you might be taking, the Zoom desktop or mobile client, or via few other methods.

Note

We always recommend that you are signed in to the Zoom client before joining any Zoom meeting.

The easiest way to join a meeting is through the meeting link that is provided to you by the host either via an email or calendar invitation or that is posted somewhere you have access.

Step 1

Select the meeting invite link you received from the host, for example in your email or calendar invitation. Within your web browser, a pop-up window may prompt you to open or download the Zoom client.

Step 2

The Zoom client should launch automatically to start the meeting.

Note

If a browser pop-up message appears asking you to Open Zoom Meetings, select the Open Zoom Meetings button.

Join via a Brightspace Course

There are a few ways you can locate and join your Brightspace course Zoom meetings. You can find and join them from the Brightspace Course Calendar or through the UA Tools > Zoom menu option in the course Navbar.
