Embed a Webpage in a Video
This help page explains the new and easy way to embed web pages into a Panopto session using the Editor.
Note
A website that does not allow the site content to be displayed in iframes will not appear in the video. It will display an error.
Instructional Steps
Step 1
Open the video in the Panopto editor by selecting the edit icon in the video thumbnail.
Step 2
In the timeline at the bottom of the editor, select where in the timeline you want the webpage to appear.
Step 3
There are two ways to add a webpage.
Step 3a
First Method: On the Contents tab, select the Add a webpage icon.
Step 3b
Second Method: You can select the + Add Content icon from the editor toolbar, and then select Add a webpage from the pop-up menu.
Step 4
A window will pop up asking you to enter the information. You can give it a title, specify a more exact time, which stream you want this to appear in, some keywords for searching, and enter the link itself. Once the information is entered, select Save.
Step 5
The web page will now appear in the stream in which you chose. Select Apply to publish your changes.
Note
If an error message or blank page appears after you embed a webpage, then the webpage publisher does not allow the site content to be displayed in a iframe. This is not controlled by Panopto. As a workaround, enter the link as the title of a table of contents entry. Users will be able to click the link in the table of contents and open the webpage in a new window.
